Many people ask me "How do I create a professional practice?" I usually stand there speechless knowing just how much is involved in creating a successful practice and knowing nothing about them. When I consult, teach or coach someone to create their Perfect Practice the first thing I do is a lot of information gathering through questionaires and self-assessments.
I believe a successful practice is built on a sound foundation so believe there are phases to creating a successful practice. Phase 1 is the Foundation.
Take the following self-assessment and see if you have all the foundational pieces in place before moving to Phase 2, Practice Management and Growth.
Phase 1 - Foundations
Score the following from 1-5. 1= No, not in place or low, 5=Yes, this is complete and 2, 3, and 4 are the phases of completion if you have started and not finished.

The total score can be 190. How do you rate? ___________
If you rate high, you may be ready to move to Phase 2, yet there are many pieces that must be scored 5 before moving on, i.e., "Bookkeeping System." Use your common sense, and if you have a question, just ask.
Warmly
Linda
