Understanding Healthcare Reform and How it Will Impact Mental Health Care.
I've been following the government's new legislative efforts to create a national healthcare program. I support affordable healthcare for all, and am also skeptical of any government created solution. As I read my usual media publications I find it difficult to sort out how mental health is included, funded and controlled. Today I received an e.newsletter from NCMHCP the National Coalition of Mental Health Professionals and Consumers who have created a compilation and organization of articles which I'm finding helpful. I thought I would pass it on to you.
It is important that we learn about and become active at this historic moment. What is legislated now will impact all of our future practices. Please be informed and proactive.
