A letter to those seeking a therapist

Linda L Lawless, MA LMFT

A Safe Place to Talk

You’re receiving this letter in response to your outreach to find a therapist. I receive multiple calls and e.mails each week and feel badly that I do not have the time to respond to all of them, so I’ve created this response.

I generally have a full practice and when someone leaves therapy, or pulls back from weekly to monthly, that leaves session openings, so I do take new clients when an opening emerges. Unfortunately, it is often hard to predict when those openings will happen, or if the day/time works for you.

To be of help, I’ve created a resource list to help you find the resources you need, as quickly as possible.

Please let me know if this has been helpful for you. Any more questions you can leave a confidential voicemail @ 415.356.9809.

If this is an emergency, call 988 or go to your closest emergency hospital. Visit the the 988 Suicide & Crisis Hotline webpage @
